About Noeline Lau
Noeline was admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong and the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1998. She has been a Civil Celebrant of Marriage since 2006.
Noeline maintains a broad general practice in both criminal and litigation matters, covering banking and finance matters, corporate advisory, employment disputes, and family cases. She approaches every matter with the practical and client-focused philosophy that defines our firm - delivering clear, actionable advice while being mindful of costs and commercial realities.
Drawing on over two decades of experience, Noeline provides strategic guidance across her practice areas, from representing financial institutions in complex transactions to assisting individuals in sensitive family matters. Her ability to navigate both corporate and personal legal challenges aligns closely with our firm's mission to offer accessible, solution-oriented representation to all clients.
Public Services and Appointments
Aside from her private practice, Noeline actively engages in public and community services. Currently, she chairs the Non-local Higher and Professional Education Appeal Board and sits on the Torture Claims Appeal Board. Previously, she as the Chairman of the Appeal Tribunal under the Buildings Ordinance (2018 – 2024) and of the Transports Tribunal (2013-2019).
Pro Bono Service
Noeline is keen to promote the accessibility to justice by way of providing free legal service to members of the public. She is a volunteer lawyer for the Clinical Legal Education Programme of the Faculty of Law at The University of Hong Kong, as well as the Free Legal Advice Scheme of The Duty Lawyer Service.
She also serves as an honorary legal advisor to several non-profit organisations, including the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology (“APSN”) and the Consortium of Institutes on Family in the Asian Region (CIFA).
Community Work
Noeline has a keen interest in promoting public health. She currently sits on the Board and is an Honorary Secretary of The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society.
She has received numerous awards for her pro bono and community work from the HKSAR Home Affairs Department and The Law Society of Hong Kong.
